Seasonal flu epidemics are seeded by viruses that originate in East and Southeast Asia and then migrate around the world, research shows. By focusing on new flu strains emerging in Asia, scientists may be able to improve their forecast of seasonal flu strains and develop better vaccines, researchers say.
